Partnering for a Better Tomorrow
From our beginnings in Castleblayney in 1905, Liffey Meats has partnered with like-minded people to sustainably grow our business and support our local communities. This philosophy led to us contributing over €750m annually to local communities across Ireland.
We are delighted to see our considerable progress in relation to sustainability recognised again in 2024 through the retention of our Origin Green Gold membership. This reflects the efforts made by our colleagues to drive ongoing progress in relation to sourcing, resource efficiency, nature, our people and local communities.
We will continue to play a leadership role by working with our suppliers, customers, colleagues and communities in securing a better tomorrow for us all.

Five generations of the Mallon family have carefully built an international business meeting the needs of discerning customers and consumers in more than 30 markets globally.
A focus on innovation to grow value and boost efficiency has been a constant theme. This mindset has been central to addressing sustainability challenges with 40% of energy needs now being met by renewable energy produced on site with a plan in place to approach 100% by 2026.
We have always recognised the importance of supporting our 10,000 farmer suppliers to embrace new practices that can positively influence their economic and environmental sustainability.
