Liffey Meats was delighted to attend the 83rd Virginia Show on Wednesday, 19th August, joining exhibitors, competitors, farming families and visitors for another hugely successful day celebrating Irish agriculture and rural life.
The show enjoyed a fantastic turnout, with a great atmosphere across the showgrounds and an impressive programme of livestock classes, competitions and attractions. The excellent organisation and set-up were a credit to the Virginia Show committee, volunteers, exhibitors and everyone involved in delivering such a well-supported event.
Liffey Meats was proud once again to sponsor the Liffey Meats Champion Super Beef Bullock class, which attracted a strong line-up of quality cattle.
After careful deliberation, judge Tom Cox selected a May 2025-born bullock owned by the Barnett family from Raphoe, Co. Donegal, as the champion.
We would like to extend our congratulations to the Barnett family on this excellent achievement.
Second place went to Jason Teague from Co. Longford, while Sinead and Ciara McKeon from Ballinalee, Co. Longford, secured third place.
Liffey Meats is proud to support competitions such as this, which recognise the quality of Irish beef cattle and the dedication, knowledge and commitment of breeders and producers throughout the country.
